The Ancient Soul Amulet is a craftable item that requires 2 Thulecite, 3 Nightmare Fuel, and 2 Red Gems to craft at an Ancient Pseudoscience Station.
After taking a hit with this equipped, black souls will spawn around the player, and can be absorbed to restore health. The amount of health healed is based on how much damage you took, and it's split between the 4 souls.
For example, if a player takes 100 damage, each soul will heal them for 25 when approached.
It has a durability of 1000 hp, working like armor durability, except the damage is capped at 50 health per attack. This means that even if the player takes more than 50 damage, the amulet's health will only decrease by 50 hp, effectively giving it 20 uses against strong enemies like Bosses . When the durability hits 0%, the amulet breaks.
It can be haunted to revive ghost players, but only once.
It is recommended to have some form of speed boost to absorb all the souls as fast as possible before they disappear.
Be sure to use the Ancient Soul Amulet only against high damaging mobs, to spare the durability and to easily heal high amounts of health.
