The List of Miscellaneous Changes in Uncompromising Mode is a list of changes that don't necessarily fit into any one of the main categories.

Balance Changes[edit | edit source]

These are basic changes that effect the way you interact with the environment:

Burning Loot Drop Rework[edit | edit source]

  • Whenever a Mob dies while set on fire, it will explode, spreading fire around it, but not burning the drops.

Objects without Collision[edit | edit source]

  • Objects without Collision are objects, usually craftable or Placeable structures, that can be walked through, they no longer physically block the player and creatures. This was done with the intention to stop cheese strategies for certain bosses and events. Below is a list of all objects that no longer have collision.

    • Giant Asparagus.png Giant crops
    • Stagehand.png End Table
    • Lureplant.png Lureplant
    • Odd Skeleton.png Odd Skeleton at any stage
    • Sign Build.png Regular and Directional Signs
    • Spider Den.png Spider Den at any stage

Naturally Spawning Objects[edit | edit source]

Certain preexisting Naturally Spawning Objects are slightly modified or have a minor change.

  • Moon Stone.pngMoon Stone spawns in the Hooded Forest biome.
  • Rock Den.png Rock Den
  • When the player approaches the Rock Den within a radius of ? units, it self-destructs, spawning 2 Horror Hounds.
    • When destroyed, it requires 1 Moon Rock to permanently repair.
  • Ancient Moon Statue.png Ancient Moon Statue has a 50% chance to be charged on world generation.
    • Charged statues intermittently emit light.
    • When destroyed, charged statues spawn a Security Pulse.
  • Sea Stack.png Sea Stacks now drop Flint, Nitre, Gold and, rarely, Blue Gems.

Caves[edit | edit source]

  • The Caves are slightly hotter during Summer, this makes it possible to overheat while in the caves.

Clothing Degradation (Off by Default)[edit | edit source]

  • Clothing Degradation is a feature that affects wearable items that degrade overtime. As an item is worn, it will lose effectiveness for what it does: Eyebrella's effectiveness would go below 100% water resistance as the durability get's lower, for example. This can be reversed as sewing the item will restore its effectiveness.

Sunken Chests[edit | edit source]

  • Sunken Chests now choose between two loot tables to determine the drops: the vanilla table (which remained unchanged) and the new mod-exclusive table. The chance of rolling the new loot table is 50%.
  • A Royal Chest has a 33.33% chance to replace a Sunken Chest.

Periodic Events[edit | edit source]

Periodic Events repeatedly happen over the course of your world. Events included here are modified versions of DST events. If you're curious about a strange occurrence that happened to you, it was most likely one of the Night Terrors Events.

Hound Waves[edit | edit source]

Depths Worm Waves[edit | edit source]

  • Depths Worm Waves are now more dangerous and can include new Depths Worms.

Winter Smoldering System[edit | edit source]

  • Instead of being set on fire immediately, objects in Winter will need to smolder first. The time that objects take to be set on fire is the same as objects take to be set on fire by wildfires at Summer. Objects set on fire will also burn for 1/4 of their normal time (Evergreens will normally take 45 seconds of burning time, in winter it will be 11.25 seconds).

Settings[edit | edit source]

Settings are configurable options in the mod menus config screen. Some of these are changeable or can be turned on or off, before creating a world. Other togglable changes, if they exist, can be found on the respective pages they relate to.

Crab King[edit | edit source]

  • Crab King's Imposing Claws deal their health (500-750, depending on green gems socketed) in damage to him when destroyed.

Bee Queen[edit | edit source]

  • Bee Queen now has togglable health. It can either be Lowered to 15000, or kept to its original at 22500.

Toadstool[edit | edit source]

  • Toadstool now has togglable health. It can either be Lowered to 25000, or kept to its original at 52500.

Harder Nightmare Creatures[edit | edit source]

  • Toggling Harder Nightmare Creatures off removes the changes made to Shadow Creatures, this is both for the buffs to the Crawling Horror and Terror Beak, and makes it so the Dread Eye and Creeping Fear never spawn.

A Ton More![edit | edit source]

  • If you think of a setting, it probably exists, check them! If they're not there, you can suggest them on Uncompromising Mode's Discord server.
