Electrical Conversion Kit

The Electrical Conversion Kit is an item that can only be crafted by Winona, taking 6 Gold Nuggets, 2 Trusty Tapes, 4 Scraps and an Alchemy Engine to prototype.
When hovered over a Miner Hat or a Lantern, the prompt to "Upgrade" will show. Once used, the Electrical Conversion Kit is consumed, and the Lantern/Miner Hat is transformed into an Electrical Lantern/Electrical Miner Hat.

The Electrical Lantern and Electrical Miner Hat are a Lantern/Miner Hat upgraded with an Electrical Conversion Kit. It has double the maximum fuel capacity than a normal Lantern/Miner Hat, making it last for 15 minutes and 36 seconds, instead of 7 minutes and 48 seconds. It now can only be refueled with Electric Fuel, rejecting Light Bulbs, Fireflies and Slurtle Slime. To charge this item, it has to be equipped in the hand slot, and the player has to click on either a charged Lightning Rod or a fueled Winona's Generator/Winona's G.E.M.erator. It can also be recharged in the inventory with another exclusive Winona craft, the Energy Cell.
When charging the Electrical Lantern or Electrical Miner Hat as Winona, she can overcharge it, making the item's fuel go up to 200% fuel and doubling its light radius. However, this will cause the Electrical Lantern/Electrical Miner Hat to waste fuel 2x faster while above 100% fuel, effectively increasing fuel by only 50% (23 minutes and 24 seconds total).

Tips[edit | edit source]
- The electrical versions are best with enough preparation, but much worse without. Due to being limited to electric power, non-Winona players may struggle recharging in the caves without Energy Cells.
- All characters, including WX-78, have to wear a piece of clothing that is electrically insulated, like the Eyebrella or the Rock Hide Armor, to prevent damage and Sanity loss while charging their electrical equipment at a Lightning Rod or any of Winona's Generators.
- The increased radius of overcharged equipment is most useful when fighting a boss in the light of a Lantern, or wearing a Miner Hat in the Ruins.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- When an Electrical Lantern is dropped near Winona's Generator, it will slowly increase its charge while being used even outside the charge range. The cause of this is unknown.
- Woodie has no quote for the Electrical Conversion Kit, the quote is just "."
- No character currently has quotes for the electrical Lantern.
