The Feather Frock is an equipable body item dropped by Mother Goose. This item can be deconstructed using a Deconstruction staff for 6 Down Feathers.
While being worn, it has a single slot that only accepts feathers. All feathers share 3 main abilities when used, and each type has a special effect unique to itself.
The feather's effects will be activated when getting hit or by right clicking the Feather Frock while it's equipped.
Feather Effects[edit | edit source]
Upon usage, all feather types will temporarily give the player a speed boost of +50% (1.5× Default Speed), reduce some damage taken by the player (but never reducing it below 1), and usually damage enemies in a AOE area close to the player.
Jet Feather will deal 20 damage and slow close targets by 30% for a few seconds. Also reduces any damage taken by 5.
Crimson Feather deals 20 damage and ignites targets around the player, making them take fire damage. It will have no effect on targets that can't catch on fire. Also reduces any damage taken by 5.
Azure Feather deals 40 damage to enemies around the player. Also reduces any damage taken by 7.
Saffron Feather will deal 30 damage and shock mobs around the player, dealing 10-12 extra damage, stunning them for some seconds with the same effects as the Zaspberry Parfait's buff. After a mob gets shocked, they will be resistant to the stunning for a few seconds. This is shown through occasional non-damaging sparks on the mob. Also reduces any damage taken by 7.
Down Feather doesn't deal direct damage, but will create damaging circling tornadoes around the player. These tornadoes only last for a few seconds, damaging mobs by 7 and also destroying any Trees, Boulders and Structures they come in contact with. Also reduces any damage taken by 15.
Malbatross Feather will deal the same damage as an Azure Feather, but also provides a 250% speed boost for a few seconds. Also reduces any damage taken by 10.

Parakeet Feather activates a random effect from another feather and only gets consumed when used 25% of the time.
Royal Feather adjusts the player's temperature and lowers Wetness by -33.
Veteran's Curse[edit | edit source]
This item can only be equipped if you have the Veteran's Curse active, which can be activated by touching the Melancholic Skull.
