Petrified Mushtrees are a new kind of petrified Tree that can be found in the caves. They serve as the main source of Fungal Geodes.
Once a Mushtree's Blooming Season is over, Mushtrees have a chance to cause a "Petrification Disaster", turning all trees in an area into petrified trees. Out of these, only a few will contain geodes. Unlike Petrified Evergreens, some Petrified Mushtrees can be found on world generation, making them available day 1.

Tips

• Due to their numbers, mining Petrified Mushtrees can be a good way of getting lots of rocks, nitre and flint.
• Even if one isnt interested in the gems, mining Mushtrees with gems can net the player quite a few mushroom caps, as Uncompromising Mode makes Mushtrees not drop mushroom caps under normal circunstances
