Stuffed Peeper Poppers is a Meat recipe cooked in the Crock Pot. It requires at least 1 Durian, 1 Milky Whites, and any amount of meat. It provides 37.5 Hunger, -3 Health and -15 Sanity. When consumed, it will spawn 2 Hardy Peepers that will follow and fight for you until they die.
Hardy Peepers are spawned from eating Stuffed Peeper Poppers. They are visually identical to Suspicious Peepers, besides being slightly bigger. They have 600 Health and deal 50 damage.
Unlike the other food-summoned ally, Viperlings, they will not despawn after a while, and will remain loyal until death.
Two can also be found in the Single Father setpiece.
If they somehow lose their owner, they will "imprint" onto the first player that comes close.
When killed, Hardy Peepers will leave behind a Hardy Egg that will hatch in aproximatelly 20 seconds into another Hardy Peeper, essentially granting them a second chance. Every time they die, their max health will get halved, until they are left with 75 health, at which point they will not be able to revive. This means they can die 4 times, giving them 1025 health in total.
Since Stuffed Peeper Poppers has a higher priority than Monster Lasagna, it can be a good way of making use of Monster Meat as most characters
The ability to spawn Hardy Peepers in the middle of a fight makes them a good way of buying some breathing time for you and your team. Additionally, they can take a few hits from most bosses before dying, which may just get you enough time to heal completely, reorganize your inventory or replace lost gear.
Since Hardy Peepers never lose loyalty and turn back into an egg when killed, they can be a helpful ally for day to day fights.
Leading bosses away from dead Peepers will increase the chances of them not dying to AoE attacks.
The name "Stuffed Peeper Poppers" is a wordplay between Stuffed Pepper Poppers and the several ocular mobs added in the Eye for An Eye update, commonly referred as "Peepers".
Because of this, both Warly and Wickerbottom mention having misunderstood what they were asked for.
Despite its name implying the eyes are the ones that have been stuffed, the sprite shows the opposite, Durian poppers stuffed with Peepers.
The author's initial idea was actually to have a corpse of a Suspicious Peeper filled with Durians, before the artist changed it to how it is today.
