Widow's Head

The Widow's Head is a Hat Item dropped by the Hooded Widow. It allows the player to see in the dark, using the same visual filter as the Moggles. By default, the hat lasts for 120 minutes (15 in-game days), spoiling similarly to any food item. Like other items capable of spoiling, the Widow's Head can be preserved in an Ice Box to extend its lifetime. It also counts as Horrible Food, meaning it can be eaten by Winky, and creatures such as Spiders and Pigmen may eat it if it is left on the floor.
If wearing the Widow's Head while walking in a Sandstorm or Snowstorm, the visual effects limiting the player's field of view are greatly reduced, and the movement speed reduction is removed.
Unlike the Spiderhat, the Widow's Head does not make spiders friendly towards the player. This is due to the Hooded Widow's tendency to eat other spiders.

- The Widow's Head was added in the Hooded Forest update.
- Prior to the Fight And Flight update, the Widow's Head was bugged and could be consumed by players; it was treated as a veggie-type food, and restored 10
and 10 
when eaten.
