“Drawn from her home by forces unknown, Wixie arrives in the constant to cause trouble!”
–Wixie's Curio Cabinet bio.
Wixie's backstory titled All Good Things... can be seen in the Compendium, by installing and enabling the Mods in Menu API.
Growing up can hurt, and few know it better than Wixie. As long as she could remember she would see shadows in the corner of her eye, and hear whispers in the dark when she felt surrounded. After tragedy struck her family, her fears, and her abrasive attitude grew, as she further pushed people away. This cycled continued, gaining the attention of a dark force from beyond. Now, she finds her self in the constant, free from the confines of her old life, but more trapped than ever before.
Wixie has a shove attack that replaces her melee attacks with Slingshots, Lanterns and her Punches, which will launch opponents back, shoving anything else they collide with on their way back. The distance of the shove is based on the target.
The shoved entity gains -50% movement speed for a duration of ?.
When a shoved entity collides with another entity, both gain -99% movement speed for a duration of ?.
Wixie takes charge of what used to be Walter's Slingshot. She can freely aim her slingshots, and all ammo types can be charged for more damage, projectile speed, secondary effect duration, and secondary effects potency. Wixie crafts slingshot ammunition ? seconds (? frames) faster.
Slingshot ammo can only hitstun enemies every 8 seconds, this cooldown will not be applied to entities that cannot enter a hitstun state during an uninterruptible animation, or entities that are frozen.
Slingshot ammo doesn't affect entities that have players as their leaders.
Slingshot ammo doesn't force the target to retarget to Wixie if hit a second time in a row, making players/entities that are at close range the focus.
Wixie has access to 3 different Slingshots:
Trusty Slingshot
Spawning into the world with the Trusty Slingshot, she may craft another with ×1 Twig and ×2 Mosquito Sacks. It takes 0.5 seconds to start charging, and 1.5 seconds to fully charge. When fully charged, each shot gains +33% lingering effect duration and damage.
Matilda
Requiring an Alchemy Engine to prototype, it's crafted with ×1 Driftwood Piece, ×1 Cat Tail and ×3 Mosquito Sacks. Matilda has 3 slots for Ammo, instead of just 1. It takes 0.5 seconds to start charging, and 0.93 seconds to fully charge. When fully charged, Matilda will shoot up to 3 ammo (1 from each ammo slot) and +16% lingering effect duration and damage. After charging for ? seconds, it will shoot 2 ammo (1 from the first 2 slots).
Gnasher
Requiring a Shadow Manipulator to prototype, it's crafted with ×1 Living Log, ×2 Nightmare Fuel, and ×2 Mosquito Sacks. Gnasher has a "perfect timing" mechanic, which it will gain begin losing power if charged for too long. It takes 0.5 seconds to start charging, 0.8 seconds to fully charge, then 1.5 seconds to fully fall off. When at full power, it applies +33% damage and +33% lingering effect duration.
Wixie's Rounds can't hit Birds and Rabbits. Her Rounds also can't normally hit Shadows, only some special Rounds with the ability to hit them can. This doesn't include Shadows that have the Epic Tag. She has access to the following Rounds:

Wixie is claustrophobic, and will panic when she feels surrounded or trapped. Her claustrophobia level is represented by the corners of the player screen and by a sound effect that starts playing when its level reaches 25%; the darker the screen and the louder the sound effect, the higher the level of her current claustrophobia. Mobs will constantly increase her claustrophobia when near her. Upon reaching 100% claustrophobia, she will get stunned for 5 seconds and lose 15 sanity. After getting stunned, her claustrophobia can't increase for 10 seconds.
Shadows don't increase her claustrophobia, with the exception of the Reanimated Skeleton.
Walls and trees will increase her claustrophobia by 3%, up to 50%.
Wearing most armors will increase her claustrophobia to 20% per piece of armor (Grass and Shadow Armor aren't effected).
Companion tagged entities will deal the lowest amount of claustrophobia to Wixie, up to up to 50% (This includes Woby, Abigail, Bernie, Saddled Beefalo, Friendly Fruit Fly, Chester, etc).
Wormholes will cause her to lose 15 extra sanity on use.
The rate of claustrophobia increase has a limit of 24% claustrophobia per second, meaning that it takes a minimum of approximately 4.17 seconds until she panics.
Wixie's Claustrophobia is one of, if not the most dangerous downsides in the game. It is imperative you avoid crowds by any means necessary unless death is what you're looking for.
Wixie as a character excels through preparation and combat utility. Don't be afraid to take things slow to build up your arsenal.
Salt Rounds begin to out damage marbles after their target has lost one third of their health. At this point they have the highest raw damage of any ammo type. This damage continues to rise until the target has lost two thirds of their health.
The trans-dimensional properties of Moonphase Rounds are capable of damaging shadow creatures while they are still incorporeal. This will trigger all shadows on the screen to become active and target you; but by then, it's usually too late for them.
This includes the Resting Horror in the ruins, allowing one to obtain the blueprint for the Replica Relic Chair without going insane.
Wixie's slingshots are capable of bypassing Planar Entity Protection (for now). This is not reflected when attacking a planar-aligned punching bag, however.
Wixie used to have a perk that made her gain Sanity on Naughtiness gain. This was removed due to the implications of a simple bully kid actually enjoying murdering little creatures and sentient animals.
Wixie was planned to have the ability to shoot Tomatoes, Eggs and more miscellaneous items as ammo, but it was opted to not being included, to not waste too much develop time with 'flavor perks'.
There was a concept for a Wixie-exclusive craftable Tin Can that could be kicked around, and would ricochet ammo shots. This wasn't implemented due to not having many uses.
