Wolfgang's form (Mighty/Normal/Wimpy) is back to being based on Hunger, and Mightiness (Might Meter.png) is now a resource you use to complete Feats of Strength.

Icon Science.png Base Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Sanity Meter.png Maximum Sanity decreased to 150 Sanity; originally 200.
  • Hunger Meter.png Maximum Hunger increased to 300 Hunger; originally 200.

Gym Mastery.png Mightiness Forms[edit | edit source]

Like in classic Don't Starve, Wolfgang's form changes are once again based on his Hunger.

While at >75% Hunger Meter.png. Wolfgang will enter his Mighty form. In this form, Wolfgang will:

  • Deal ×2 damage.
  • Gain ×2 Hunger drain
  • Gain immunity to the slowing effects of heavy objects and equipment, including suspicious marble pieces, Piggybacks, and Ice Cubes.
  • Gain +50% work efficiency.

*Note: Mighty form's increased cold resistance and decreased heat resistance is removed.

While at <25% Hunger Meter.png, Wolfgang will enter his Wimpy form. In this form, Wolfgang will:

  • Deal 0.75× damage.
  • Gain 0.75× Hunger drain.
  • Gain -25% work efficiency.

Might Meter.png Feats of Strength[edit | edit source]

Wolfgang's Might Meter now functions as a resource that can be consumed to perform various actions.

Mightiness will passively regenerate based on Wolfgang's current Hunger and Sanity percentage. Each stat individually will restore it over time while above 75%, and drain over time when below 25%. This gets flipped when Enlightenment replaces Sanity.

Dumbells and the Mighty Gym can also be used to recover Mightiness.

Mighty Work[edit | edit source]

"Mighty Work" will complete work (mining, chopping, hammering, digging) in a single action. The Might Meter.png cost depends on how much work is left on the resource, the tool needed for the resource, the tool efficiency, and is ~33.333% cheaper while in Mighty form. In Normal form, 1 Axe hit = 6 Might Meter.png, while in Mighty Form, 1 Axe hit = 4 Might Meter.png. However, Pickaxe hits cost 2.5× Might Meter.png, Hammer hits cost 4× Might Meter.png and Breaking hard materials also multiplies the cost by 2.5× Might Meter.png. Tools lose approximately as much durability as if you had done the work normally.

Mighty Leap[edit | edit source]

"Mighty Leap" will allow Wolfgang to leap a fixed distance between 6-9 units (walls) in the direction chosen. Costs 50 Might Meter.png and has a 5 seconds cooldown.

Mighty Strike[edit | edit source]

"Mighty Strike" does an empowered swing with a melee weapon that does 2× (4× while Mighty) damage and 4× planar damage for that swing only. Costs 50 Might Meter.png and has a 5 seconds cooldown.

You will now always be mighty and with only 1.5x hunger rate, but your body becomes more fragile.
Wolfgang's Max Health is reduced to 125.
Shadow Guard III.png
Shadow Mastery
Unlock "Faustian Bargain" Your base damage is lower, but increases as you land hits, leap, and do mighty work without being hit yourself. Mighty form has a base damage multiplier of 1.5× instead of 2×, but each attack or Feat of Strength you complete without taking damage increases your multiplier by +0.134×, up to a maximum of 2.505× in 5 hits. You have a grace period of 6 seconds until the extra damage multiplier wears off.
Lunar Strategist II.png
Monstrous Growth
  • Defeat Celestial Champion
  • Have no Shadow Affinity skills
The Cryptic Founder will reward your curiosity with lunar energy causing monstrous growth.
You gain an alternative mighty form with a dusting of fish scales and improved sailing and fishing capabilities.

  • Is treated as a Merm (Pigmen are hostile, can befriend Merms, cannot trade with the Pig King);
  • No longer loses Sanity from being Wet;
  • Has the same penalties from drowning as Wurt;
  • Rowing force boost is increased from 33% to 77%;

Leaping will create ice platforms on water.
You are immune to accursed trinkets.
  • Hunger is converted at a rate of 1 Hunger Meter.png for 2 Might Meter.png.
  • The Ocean Ice spawned by Mighty Leaping into the Ocean works like a tiny boat with 30 Boat Meter.png, and slowly loses health at a rate of -2 Boat Meter.png/s. It drops 3 Ice once its health reaches 0.
  • Mighty Leap damage (requires Leg Day 1) also causes freezing equivalent to 1 hit with an Ice Staff;
  • Accursed Trinkets instantly get deleted when entering on your Inventory.

Placeholder.png Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Wolgang's Perks & Quirks list has been changed from Vanilla to reflect his rework.
  • During the brainstorming phase of Wolfgang's Skill Tree rework, Wolfgang was gonna have an alignment with The Gnaw from The Gorge, which is still reflected in his current Lunar Alignments.

Aphid.png Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • When using the Smart Cast for Wigfrid mod with the "Enable right-click" option, you become unable to Mighty Leap as Wolfgang. Other hotkeys that mod provides work fine and are still usable.
  • When using the Faustian Bargain skill, after Wolfgang dies and is revived, he will visually appear as normal Wolfgang, instead of Mighty. This visual bug goes away when the world is reloaded.
