Wolfgang's form (mighty/normal/wimpy) is back to being based on Hunger, and Mightiness (Might Meter.png) is now a resource you use to complete Feats of Strength.

Like in classic Don't Starve. Wolfgang's form changes are once again based on his Hunger.

While above 75% Hunger. Wolfgang will enter his Mighty form. In this form, Wolfgang will:

  • Deal 2x damage.
  • Drain hunger at 2x the rate
  • Be immune to the slowing effects of heavy objects and equipment, including suspicious marble pieces, Piggybacks, and Ice Cubes.
  • Work with 150% tool efficiency.

Mighty form also no longer has increased cold resistance and decreased heat resistance.

While below 25% hunger, Wolfgang will enter his Wimpy form. In this form, Wolfgang will:

  • Deal 25% less damage.
  • Work 25% slower.

Might Meter.pngFeats of Strength

Wolfgang's Might Meter now functions as a resource that can be consumed to perform various actions.

Might Meter.png will passively regenerate based on Wolfgang's Hunger and Sanity. Each stat individually will restore it over time while above 75%, and drain over time when below 25%. Might Meter.png can also be restored by working out with a Dumbbell or at a Gym

“Mighty Work” will complete work (mining, chopping, hammering, digging) in a single action. The Might Meter.png cost depends on how much work is left on the resource, the tool efficiency, and is cheaper while in Mighty form.  Tools lose as much durability as if you had done the work normally.

“Mighty Leap” will allow Wolfgang to leap a fixed distance in the direction chosen. Costs 50 Might Meter.png and has a 5 seconds cooldown.  If you leap into the void, you will have a max health penalty applied.

“Mighty Strike” does an empowered swing with a melee weapon that does 2x (4x while Mighty) damage and 4x planar damage for that swing only. Costs 50 Might Meter.png and has a 5 seconds cooldown.

Skill Tree rework

Wolfgang's Skill Tree

Wolfgang's skill tree has been reworked to encourage greater variety in player choice.

Mighty Work 1-4 + Expert: Decreases the cost of Mighty Work by 17%, 33%, 50%, 67% and 75% respectively. Mighty Work Expert also allows Wolfgang to break harder materials at a higher mightiness and durability cost. Coach Wolfgang: As vanilla, but no sanity restoration and can be used while in Mighty form

Leg Day 1-4 + Expert: Decreases the cost of Mighty Leap by 10% each, up to 50%. Leg Day 1 also allows Wolfgang to do 34 (or 68 while Mighty) damage in a tiny aoe where he lands. Leg Day Expert also halves the cooldown, and you can leap while carrying heavy objects for a larger aoe that deals 102 damage.

Dumbbell Developer/Heavy Hitter 1 and 2:  Unchanged from Vanilla

Push the Limits 1-4 + Expert: Allows Wolfgang to gain Might Meter.png up to 110-150 (no longer is gym-only).  Push the Limits Expert also gives doubled Might Meter.png gain from using the gym.

Mighty Strike 1-5: Each decreases the cost of Mighty Strike by 10%, up to 50%.

Faustian Bargain: Wolfgang will always be in Mighty form with a 1.5x hunger drain, but max health is reduced to 125.  In addition, there is no penalty for falling into the cave void (due to a missed leap)

Shadow Mastery (requires Faustian Bargain): Mighty has a base damage multiplier of 1.5x instead of 2x, but each attack or Feat of Strength you complete without taking damage increases your multiplier up to a maximum of 2.5x.  You have a grace period of 6 seconds.

Monstrous Growth: Wolfgang gains an alternative Mighty Form (Commonly referred to as "Florpgang"). This form is treated as a Merm (Pigmen are hostile, Merms are neutral, can befriend Merms, cannot trade with the Pig King), no longer loses sanity from being Wet, or has penalties from drowning (drowning penalties are identical to Wurt).

"Florpgang" Changes:

  • Rowing force boost is increased from 33% to 77%;
  • Bonus max speed while rowing is increased from 0.5 to 2.5;
  • Anchor speed is increased from 2x (Mighty) to 4x;
  • Sail speed boost is 2x as compared to Mighty;
  • While fishing you have a 50% chance to gain a Gold Nugget when you catch a fish, and a 25% chance to catch a second fish.

Lunar Mastery (requires Monstrous Growth):  

  • If you don’t have enough mightiness to complete a Feat of Strength, it will convert some Hunger at a rate of 2 Might Meter.png for 1 Hunger Meter.png until you have enough mightiness to complete the Feat of Strength;
  • You can target water with Mighty Leap, and leaping onto water will create an ice platform;
  • Mighty Leap damage (requires Leg Day 1) also causes freezing equivalent to one hit with an ice staff;
  • You are immune to accursed trinkets.
