Icon Science.png Base Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Health Meter.pngMaximum Health decreased to 100.
  • Hunger Meter.pngMaximum Hunger decreased to 100.
  • Sanity Meter.pngMaximum Sanity decreased to 100.
  • Health Decrease.png Immunity to Maximum Health Penalty from damage sources, such as from Rats or Spore Hounds.
  • Wetness Meter.png Wetness will reduce WX-78's Maximum Health.
  • Lightning Settings Icon.png Removed healing when struck by Lightning.

Charge.png Charge Meter[edit | edit source]

WX's Charge Meter has been completely reworked:

  • The number of Circuit Slots have been increased to 8; originally 6.
  • All Circuits become active when equipped as long as there's at least 1 Charge.png filled. Otherwise, they will all become inactive.
  • While equipped and active, Circuits only last for 20 days before breaking.
    • WX-78 will have quotes about their "modules overheating" when the Circuits are close to breaking.
    • If a Circuit breaks while still equipped, WX-78 will have all of their remaining Circuits removed and lose all Charge.
  • When Circuit Slots are in use, WX-78 will lose 1 Charge.png every 300 seconds.
    • Interval decreases by 30 seconds per additional Circuit Slot in use.
  • Sleeping, excluding forced sleep, makes you regenerate 1 Charge.png every 6 seconds.
  • While no Circuit Slots are in use, 1 Charge.png is regenerated every 30 seconds.
  • 1 Charge.png is refilled for every 50 Hunger Meter.png points consumed.
  • Eating electric foods restores a significant amount of charge:

Circuit Extractor.png Circuit Extractor[edit | edit source]

There is now no punishment for removing circuits:

  • Removing circuits no longer damages the circuits
  • Removing circuits will not remove Charge from the Charge Meter.
  • Circuit Extractor can now be used to break down circuits for Bio Data.

    • Diminishing returns for damage reduction with more circuits: -5, -9, -12, -15.
    • Damage reduction is calculated before armor and cannot be reduced below 5.
    • Example: With one Super-Hardy Circuit, a Spider would deal 15 damage, which would be reduced to 3 damage when wearing a Log Suit or Football Helmet.
Processing Circuit.png Processing Circuit
  • +30 maximum Sanity Meter.png.
  • +1.33 Sanity Meter.png per minute.
  • 7.5% resistance to negative Sanity auras.
    • This stacks multiplicatively with more Processing Circuits.
Super-Processing Circuit.png Super-Processing Circuit
  • +75 maximum Sanity Meter.png.
  • +3.33 Sanity Meter.png per minute.
  • 20% resistance to negative Sanity auras.
    • This stacks multiplicatively with more Super-Processing Circuits.

    • This stacks multiplicatively with more Beanbooster Circuits.
Chorusbox Circuit.png Chorusbox Circuit
  • +6 Sanity Meter.png per minute.
  • Makes WX-78 emit a Sanity aura of +5 Sanity Meter.png per minute.
  • Plays a faint melody and tends to nearby Farm Plants.
  • Increases spawn rate of birds, similar to the Feather Hat.pngFeather Hat.
Gastrogain Circuit.png Gastrogain Circuit
  • +30 maximum Hunger Meter.png.
  • -7.5% Hunger drain.
    • This stacks multiplicatively with more Gastrogain Circuits.
Super-Gastrogain Circuit.png Super-Gastrogain Circuit
  • +75 maximum Hunger Meter.png.
  • -20% Hunger drain.
    • This stacks multiplicatively with more Super-Gastrogain Circuits.
  • Charge meter takes 45 seconds longer to lose 1 Charge.png, effectively making the circuit decrease the charge loss interval by 15 seconds.
Acceleration Circuit.png
Super-Acceleration Circuit.png
Acceleration Circuit
and
Super-Acceleration Circuit
  • Starts increasing movement speed as long as WX-78 walks without stopping for 1.75 seconds.
    • The speed gain is 0.5% per 0.075 seconds. More circuits increase the gain by 0.5%.
    • WX-78 will rapidly lose accumulated movement speed boost when walking has ceased. The bonus speed loss stops when all of it is gone or WX starts gaining speed again.
  • Maximum movement speed achievable increased based on how many Circuits WX-78 has equipped.
    • 1 Acceleration Circuit.pngSuper-Acceleration Circuit.png = 133%.
    • 2 Super-Acceleration Circuit.png = 150%.
    • 3 Super-Acceleration Circuit.png = 167%.
    • 4 Super-Acceleration Circuit.png = 183%.
  • If WX-78 has ≥2 Acceleration Circuits equipped they gain the ability to Rook Charge after walking for long enough.
    • While Rook Charging, colliding with a mob will deal damage; Ranging from 136 to 187 damage, based on how many circuits you have equipped.
    • Charging into anything larger than Rabbits or Frogs and with more than 150 health will also deal 5% of the damage dealt to the player.
    • If the creature they rammed into has less than 150 health, WX will receive 10% damage instead and suffer from Knockback.
Thermal Circuit.png Thermal Circuit
  • +120 Freezing Resistance.png Insulation.
  • +10% Wetness decay rate.
  • Perishables in WX-78's inventory spoil 25% faster.
  • 5× temperature gain speed from any heat source.
  • WX-78's temperature must be ≥25° to emit heat.
    • Heat emitted is based on WX-78's temperature, up to 50°.
  • WX-78 is more efficient with tools and oars proportionally to their temperature, reaching up to 2.5× efficiency with 1 circuit, and 3.5× efficiency with 2 circuits when at ≥60°.
    • Tools lose as much durability as if you had done the work normally. This only saves time, not durability.
  • WX-78 gains 1.5° when using tools and 0.5° on hit when attacking.
    • Unaffected by the 5× temperature gain from any heat source.
    • -50% heat gained when WX-78's temperature is ≥50°.
    • -75% heat gained when Wx-78's temperature is ≥60°.
Refrigerant Circuit.png Refrigerant Circuit
  • Perishables in WX-78's inventory spoil 25% slower.
    • With 2 Refrigerant Circuits, perishables instead spoil 62.5% slower.
  • Doing work actions on various structures causes them to brittle and receive a work multiplier done to them.
    • The work multiplier value starts at 1 and increases by 0.25 with each hit.
    • Due to the nature of its effect that means other players and mobs can benefit from this effect compared to Thermal Circuit.
    • Although the colour change may indicate that the structure will freeze at some point with enough hits, this will never happen and the effect is purely visual.
  • WX-78 applies a weak freezing effect to creatures they attack equal to 20% of the Ice Staff's power.
  • WX-78, other players, and Thermal Stones in the small radius around WX-78 lose temperature when WX does work actions or attacks something.
    • The temperature loss is equal to 0.5° when attacking and 0.5° + 0.1° * X when working, where X is the amount of "work actions" (axe swings, hammer hits, etc.) WX-78 did to the structure.
  • WX-78's temperature must be ≤35° to emit cold.
    • Cooling emitted is based on WX-78's temperature, down to 10°.
  • Ice.png Ice is produced every 25 seconds.
  • Decreased Wetness threshold for Ice.png Ice conversion to 35; originally 95.
Electrification Circuit.png Electrification Circuit
  • Attackers receive +20 electric damage and are stunned for +0.8 seconds.
    • These effects are increased additively the more circuits you have equipped.
    • The electric damage modifier applies a 1.5× multiplier to dry targets and a 2.5× multiplier to wet targets, so 1 Electrification Circuit deals 30 damage to dry targets, and 50 to wet targets.
  • When the target is shocked, there is a 3.5 seconds timer where you can hit it to recover Charge.png.
    • 8/4/3/2 hits are required to restore 1 Charge.png per Circuit.
    • The amount of hits dealt are stored indefinitely, so even after the 3.5 seconds are over, shocking the target again will resume the hit counter from where it stopped.
    • The hit counter is only reset when removing the last Electrification Circuit plugged in or when plugging in an additional Electrification Circuit.
    • As long as it's not the last one plugged in, unplugging Electrification Circuits will make the hit counter remain proportional to the new hit counter requirement for charging.
      • For example, if the player has 2 Electrification Circuits plugged in, and attacks a shocked enemy 3 times, they will be 1 hit away (3/4) from gaining a Charge, so if they remove 1 of the Electrification Circuits, they will now be 2 hits away (6/8) from charging.
Optoelectronic Circuit.png Optoelectronic Circuit
  • Automatically activates night vision, like Moggles, during night or while in the caves.
  • Equipping two Optoelectronic circuits increases view range, stacking with the Horizon Expandinator.png Horizon Expandinator.
Illumination Circuit.png Illumination Circuit
  • Creates a light radius of 5 units with one circuit, and 11 units with two circuits around the player.

Prototype.png Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Since there are no punishments for taking out circuits, frequently tailoring your circuit setups for your current needs is encouraged.
  • Gathering basic resources while using the Accelerant Circuit or Super-Accelerant Circuits is discouraged as you will lose speed, but you can avoid this by using the The Lazy Forager.pngLazy Forager to gather resources while on the move.
  • Scanning both the standard Volt Goat, and the Alpha Volt Goat is a good way to get Bio Data.png Bio Data.
