Snap-Traps can commonly be found in the Hooded Forest, with a rusty, disused appearance.
Despite having a similar naming convention to the Snap-Teeth, they are not able to be picked up by players, and act as a hazard for them, instead.
Hitting them once is enough to disarm the trap, However getting too close and you might step on it. When stepped on it will deal 60 damage, and slow the player down. When that occurs, the player has 2 choices, they can try to break free from the trap, attacking it until they deal 300 damage, or wait until the trap automatically gets destroyed.
They can be found laying in plain sight, but often are also hidden under Large Fern, so the player needs to be cautious when picking them.
MacTusk also uses Snap-traps, throwing one at the player occasionally, this makes him much harder to fight. Traps thrown by him are not permanent and will eventually destroy themselves.
Trivia
- Snap-Traps were added in the Fight And Flight update.
