Charles T. Horse is an item introduced by Uncompromising Mode. It is the Childhood toy of Wixie and the real version of the Broken Toy.

When held, Charles T. Horse will show a directional indicator and prompt the player to "Charge!". Doing so will knock back entities near them and launch towards the cursor. Charles can dash up to 5 times in quick succession before needing to recharge.

Prototype.png Tips

  • Though tailor-made for Wixie, other characters can still benefit from the added mobility dramatically.
  • Though worse than the Walking Cane for traveling, Charles T. Horse's ability to rapidly displace the player is much more useful for dodging attacks. Particularly from bosses, such as Bee Queen's Bombardier Bees, Shadow Rook's bite attack, or Celestial Champion's various charges.
  • Because Charles T. Horse can theoretically be obtained as early as day 2, it can be a good alternative to the walking cane early game if you get unlucky with Silky Cocoons.
  • The speed and Distance of charging is not effected by your speed modifier, making Charles T. Horse synergize well with the Piggyback or Marble Armor.
