Spore Pack

The Spore Pack is a type of Backpack that requires 1 Shroom Skin, 2 Ropes, and 2 Rot and an Alchemy Engine to prototype. It has 14 inventory slots, the same amount as the Krampus Sack. Contents of the Spore Pack will spoil twice as fast. It cannot be placed in the inventory or in containers. It's non-flammable and waterproof.

While equipped, the Spore Pack will release a Rotting Puff every 3 seconds in a radius of ?. Rotting Puffs reduces the freshness of all perishables (including perishables in nearby players' inventories) by 0.005%. Reversely, Rotting Puffs increases Mushroom Spores and Smolder Spores freshness by 0.005%. The Chef Pouch provides 50% resistance vs. freshness damage from Rotting Puffs.

Tips[edit | edit source]

Even when placed into the player's inventory over the Spore Pack, perishables still spoil rather quickly. Chester, Chef Pouches, fellow players are preferrable places to one's perishables, even if they'll still be affected if they're too close to the player during a Rotting Puff.
Items with a long spoilage time, such as Seeds or Honey, are much more significantly impacted by Rotting Puffs.
- Having the spoilage time of 40 days, each Rotting Puff will reduce their freshness by 0.2 days.
Filling the Spore Pack with tools and crafting materials is a useful strategy to prevent picked up edibles from going inside it.

The Spore Pack was added in the Goodies Galore update.
The rapid spoilage component of the Spore Pack is based on Toadstool's spore clouds.
Originally the Spore Pack had 16 slots and only required one Shroom Skin.
Wolfgang's quote used to be "Did Wolfgang fart?", but it was later changed to "Mushroom bag stinks!".
