The Hand Held Hive is a ranged weapon dropped by Bee Queen. It never breaks, but needs Bees to be used. When loaded with any type of Bees, the player can attack with the weapon to shoot them at enemies, dealing 15 damage at impact (not influenced by damage modifiers, like Warly's Spices or Wolfgang's double damage perk) and then spawning a Bee already targeted at the enemy.

When any Bee or Killer Bee is inserted in the Hand Held Hive's slot, they turn into Bullet Bees.

This item can be deconstructed using a Deconstruction staff for 6 Honey Combs and 2 Royal Jelly.

Veteran's Curse

This weapon can only be equipped if you have Veteran's Curse active, which can be activated by touching the Melancholic Skull.

Bullet Bees can only be obtained via the Hand Held Hive. Bullet Bees have only 10 HP, but move faster and attack way more frequently.

When they're left with no target, Bullet Bees will slowly receive 1 damage until they're either dead or called back to the Hand Held Hive, after which they will be fully refreshed and back at full life.
