The Gloomberry is a fruit food item dropped by the Depths Viper. When eaten, it restores 3 health, 25 hunger, but reduces sanity by 30.
Consuming it will also summon three Friendly Viperlings, that assist the player in combat for a limited amount of time.
It can also be used in a crockpot to make Gloomberry Jam, Which lasts longer and summons more Viperlings.
