The Widow's Claw is a weapon and a tool dropped by the Hooded Widow.
This item is the only way you can open the Silky Cocoons that spawn near the Hooded Widow's Lair, you can find her lair in the Hooded Forest. It consumes different amount of durability depending on the size of the Cocoons, Small Cocoons wastes 1 use, Medium Cocoons wastes 2 uses and Large Cocoons wastes 3 uses.
It can be used as a weapon, however it only has nine uses, making it bad at long term combat.

- The Widow's Claw was added in the Hooded Forest update.
- Maxwell's inspection quote is a direct reference to a similar quote from the Team Fortress 2 Spy, in which he says "You got blood on my suit!"
