The Depths Eel (also known as an Electric Worm) can spawn during periodic Worm attacks in the caves during Winter and Spring. They can also spawn naturally in the Wet Wilds. Depth Eels have the same stats as Depth Worms with one difference: Hitting a Depths Eel or getting hit by it will shock the player for 15 damage and stun it for 1 second. This can be avoided by wearing non conductive gear such as the Eyebrella, the Rain Hat or the Raincoat. When killed, Depths Eels will always drop 4 Monster Meat and 1 Zaspberry.
Behavior
When it is not engaged with the player, it will seek out areas with harvestable objects then set its lure and lay in wait, or emerge to consume both meats and vegetables (it is omnivorous). This lure will appear as a small blue flower labeled "Mysterious Plant". If the player approaches the displayed lure, the worm will emerge and attack. During this time the main body of the worm resides underground.
Tips
- Unlike Depth Worms, Depth Eels are completely immune to electric damage. That means weapons like the Morning Star will do as little as 28.9 damage per hit with a standard damage modifier.
